Reverse lights do not work

Bulbs and fuses have been checked. Is there a switch connected to the reverse gear? Where is it?

Any other suggestions?

Yes, there is a back up light switch, usually located at the shifter (in console). You can ask at parts store for exact location, they should have access to that info.

there is a switch or sensor that is electro-mechanically linked to the reverse gear whenever you shift to reverse.

Reverse lights not working for a chev lumina 2007

You checked the reverse bulbs, too?
If so, then it could be the switch on the gear shift or the wire between that and the bulbs.

Reverse light will not work

Obviously check bulbs and fuses, if ok, suspect faulty reverse light switch on trans if its a manual, or gear select switch if automatic.

Reverse lights

The fuse is in the fuse box in the car, the hand book should tell you which fuse it is. If the fuse is OK, there is a switch on the front or top of the gearbox, should have two wires going to it. Could have come unplugged, if you bridge these wires and turn the ignition on, the reverse lights should come on, if they do, it's a faulty switch.

I have a 95 jeep loredo . reverse light is not working , I checked the bulbs and fuses and they all good, I also change the neutral switch, still han no reverse light, any suggestion?

The neutral switch is so that you can't start your vehicle in a gear (drive, reverse, ect.) your looking to replace the backup lamp switch. Not sure where its located on your jeep but that sounds like the problem. Happy hunting!

Why wont the reverse lights work on a 1997 chevy s-10 truck? I have changed the bulbs and checked the fuses, still no reverse lights

Have a look for a reverse switch on the gear box, it may have a wire off or the switch is not working. Check for power at the lights when in reverse.

My backup lights will not come on when in reverse; bulbs are good and fuse is not blown; where is the switch for the reverse/backup lights???

the reverse back up lights usually light up when the car is in reverse gear.., however get the wiring checked as you already have checked the fuse and bulbs.

My reverse lights dont work put new bulbs in but still dont work

you might have a reverse switch fault check on the box to see if it is connecting to the gear leaver when you put it in reverse..if not then that will have to be replaced, it might be the plunger in the switch broken or worn away..hope this helps

Mazda 6 reverse lights

ITS POSSIBLE THAT YOUR REVERSE LIGHT SWITCH IS FAULTY BEST WAY TO FIND OUT IS TO DISCONNECT REVERSE SWITCH AT G/BOX & BRIDGE OUT CONNECTIONS WITH IGN ON & IN REVERSE LIGHTS SHOULD GO ON IF THEY DO THEN ITS YOUR SWITCH.
