SOURCE: 1995 saturn sl2 code 32

Hi. The EGR valve is a very sensitive issue. Buying a used one will always result in a continuing fault code. I recommend purchasing a new EGR valve. Before you install it, be sure to clean the EGR housing thoroughly. there can be carbon build inside where this valve is inserted. this carbon will trip the code if its not cleaned out properly.

please rate and god bless.

SOURCE: smoking realy bad ithink that it is valve seats.do

You might mean valve seals. Before you rip the head apart try high mileage oil (I use Valvoline), and if it is warm where you are change to 10W-40 or even 20W-50 oil. Got my car to quit smoking and oil use cut in half with the change.

SOURCE: I have a 1996 Saturn Sl2. It ran out of gas one

Here are your possible problems. 1)Leaking injectors(Rare), Leaking Fuel Pressure Regulator(Common) Bad Engine Temp Sensor. (Common), Here is what i would check. Find the Regulator and pull off vacuum line, (located on fuel rail near injectors) check if there is fuel present in line. If yes replace regulator. Check temp sender with a scanner your looking for a reading in the (-) or below 140deg F, when car is first started and smoke present if yes replace engine temp sender for computer(not sender for guage!) IF both those pass inspection replace injectors(Not common problem)

Taking off the head off is there a diegram or pic i can use

Blue smoke is oil being burned in the cylinders. It could be valves not seating properly, valve stem seals bad, possibly a head gasket if it blew where an oil passage may let oil in cylinders, or badly worn piston rings.
If you can afford it, have a shop do a leak-down test of each cylinder to pinpoint the problem. Then you may know if you need a new head gasket, or a valve problem fixed when head is off, or new valve stem seals replaced, or if rings are bad requiring engine overhaul.

I have a 1996 Saturn Sl2. It ran out of gas one day and sat on the side of the road for a few days. Well, I finally got it towed home, and changed the fuel filter. The fuel pump is good. But, it is smoking...

1999 saturn sw has blue smoke coming from tailpipe. I would like to know if it has anything to do with head gasket

blue smoke is usually oil burning- is it light or heavy- if light- change oil and go up one grade- rings are worn- if heavy- time for a rebuild- rings need to be replaced. but for the money on rebuild- could find car newer and lower milage

My 1995 sl 5 speed saturn smokes really bad ,and it cuts off when i push the clutch the check engine light also comes on when it does this it seems like its only running on 2 cylinders

If the smoke is thick and white you have a blown head gasket. The car would basically look like it is making clouds.

If the smoke is black that is too much fuel and is likely the result of a failed ignition module.

Small evap leak

this could be due to a cracked line for the evap or a bad vent valve or bad purge valve, check all the evap lines closely for cracks, this would be better with an evap machine, you would be able to smoke test, this is done by filling the evap system with smoke in order to test for a leak, if it passed the smoke test then the next thing is to test the vent valve to make sure it closes good, this is done with the smoke and by powering the valve shut, and making sure it doesnt leak, most saturns i work on end up with bad vent valves or a cracked line, hope this helps.

Smoking realy bad ithink that it is valve seats.do you have to pull the heads

As far as the smoking, first what color is the smoke. If it is whitish then it most likely is oil smoke. If it is blackish it is excessive fuel (rich mixture).
Does it smoke all of the time? If it smokes mostly on accelleration then most likely the rings are bad. This can be checked out by completing a compression test, first dry then wet.
If it smokes mostly on decelleration then it most likely is the valve guides.
A valve seat that has gone bad (burnt) would not cause the vehicle to smoke, it would cause the vehicle to miss.
Yes, you have to remove the heads to service the valves.

2001 Saturn, blows Blue smoke only when ideling

It likely has worn out or hardened valve seals in the head(s). Oil is leaking into the cylinders through these seals. I'd try a seal softening agent in the oil before doing a valve job. Check your local auto supply for such stuff. A good mechanic can replace the seals without tearing off the heads.

1995 ford ranger 3 .0 number 5 spark plug wet with fuel have changed injectes blowing bleu smoke

It can possibly be oil getting into the piston fire area. Maybe a leaky valve seal, or head gasket? Possibly rings?
