Hello! There are power steering fluid in/out hoses but no vacuum lines...It sounds as if the pump needs to be bled of air or the belt is loose...Belt should move about 1/2 to 3/4"...Bleeding is as follows...
Guru...saailer

ImportantPower steering fluid level must be maintained throughout bleed procedure.
  1. Fill pump reservoir with fluid to minimum system level, FULL COLD level, or middle of hash mark on cap stick fluid level indicator.
  2. ImportantWith hydro-boost only, the oil level will appear falsely high if the hydro-boost accumulator is not fully charged. Do not apply the brake pedal with the engine OFF. This will discharge the hydro-boost accumulator.
  3. If equipped with hydro-boost, fully charge the hydro-boost accumulator using the following procedure:
  4. 2.1. Start the engine.2.2. Firmly apply the brake pedal 10-15 times.2.3. Turn the engine OFF.
  5. Raise the vehicle until the front wheels are off the ground. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  6. Key on engine OFF, turn the steering wheel from stop to stop 12 times.
  7. Vehicles equipped with hydro-boost systems or longer length power steering hoses may require turns up to 15 to 20 stop to stops.
  8. Verify power steering fluid level per operating specification. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
  9. Start the engine. Rotate steering wheel from left to right. Check for sign of cavitation or fluid aeration (pump noise/whining).
  10. Verify the fluid level. Repeat the bleed procedure if necessary.

SOURCE: driver side power seat 2001 Chevy Tahoe

as long as nothing is stuck in track and you hear no noise when using switches, look for broken wire at connector or in harness. ck fuse first of course, if blown, something may be stuck in track causing it to stop and blowing fuse

SOURCE: power steering and power brakes failed

Check to see if the power steering reservoir is full and the belt is intact.I'm assuming that you have a hydroboost unit where the p/s works the brake booster. If those are ok you could have a bad p/s pump

check power steering fluid. first. if all good . power steering is going. your hydro boost brake system depends on the power steering pump if it goes out your brake go out.

SOURCE: is there a huel reset on 2001 chevy tahoe

Sorry there is no fuel pump reset on the Tahoe. If you have no fuel pressure, check the fuses and relay, and wire harness to the fuel pump from the inside frame rail on the drivers side. If you can hear the fuel pump working, check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve and there should be 60 to 66 PSI, if you don't you can try checking for 12 volt at the fuel pump wire harness at the frame rail. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

How do I disengage the alarm system in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe

To disable the alarm system in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, try the following steps:
  1. Close all doors and windows.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
  3. Within 10 seconds, press the lock button on the driver's door five times. The alarm system should turn off.
Note: The above steps assume that your 2001 Chevy Tahoe has a factory-installed alarm system. If it has an aftermarket alarm system, the steps to disengage it may be different.

I have a 2001 Tahoe is turning either to the right but hard to the left what could cause that problem

It's most likely your steering box but you want to have your front end checked for binding including the intermediate steering shaft joint. If all checks good and fluid in circulating then it's in the steering box

I loss power steering, Its hard to turn either direction, but i am still able to drive. What could be the issues,, 2002 Chevy Tahoe

Did you hear a loud grumbly noise before this happened? That would indicate a fluid leak from the power steering. Check the fluid first. Top it off to proper level and try again.

Check for goopy and oily areas under the reservoir and around the hoses to the rack - that would indicate there's a leak and probably suggest where it is.

Steering problem

check your power steering belt. it may have broke or slipped off the pulley. if it seems ok check your fluid level. if it is still at normal operating level for hot or cold then your power steering pump may have just seized up and you may have to replace it.
