After Starting my 1998 Range Rover HSE

The SRS light and engine light remains on, Also what can I do about my drivers seat belt will not catch within the seat belt latch. Should the red catch part be replaced? The vehicle is running fine as much as I can tell, I just can deal with the lights remaining on. I started burning regular gas when the price went through the roof, should I try and use only premium?

So, allow me to understand this clearly, you would like for me to provide you with free details on how I solved the problem, but you would like to charge me for advise!!! You must have allowed the hood of the vehicle to drop on your head. Thanks but no thanks! Have a blessed day

If you have oxygen sensors fitted to the vehicle (wires coming from front of exhaust)then the fuel could be causing the engine light to come on.SRS light is probably caused by your seat belt catch not working , you could maybe find a good used part at a breakers yard.Check that the wires are o.k before buying.

2000 land rover hse fuel door wont open with switch on dash

If the door isnt damaged or otherwise stuck check your manual and refer to the "under-seat fuse panel" diagram. It is an electric switch hence it does have a fuse. Good luck!

Range Rover 4.6 HSE. 97' 1. What does HSE

The HSE designation refers to a Sport Edition 'Rover, not a higher-priced premium edition.
Changing fuel grades can harm an engine that doesn't have computer controlled valve timing.
Symptoms include a pronounced, fast "knock" (usually when you go from 93 to 87 octane) and using a fuel with a higher octane rating than the vehicle requires (example: 93 versus 87) sends unburned fuel into the emissions system and catalytic converter. This puts stress on the emissions system. For some vehicles, a rotten egg smell or a pop when the fuel burns off in the catalytic converter coming from the tailpipe signals use of higher than needed octane gas.

SRS light appeared

Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

Seat covers

Weight on passenger seat
(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)

I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.

I DO NOT recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).

Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.

Reset service engine soon light 1999 range rover HSE 4.6

I have a 1999 Rover with the 4.6. I bought a code reader for $150 and erased the code. Its paid for itself a hundred times. Did you fix the reason the service engine light problem first? Some auto part stores will read for you. I don't know if they will reset it for you at the same time. If problems not fixed the light will reappear in a very short period of time. Let me know if I can answer anything else. Good luck
