2000 Lincoln LS: Check engine light will start blinking for several seconds, then stop blinking but stays on for several seconds and start blinking again (never goes off). Also, during take off it sputters (chugging feeling) but after driving for a few seconds/minute, it clears up and drives fine. Changed the spark plugs but it's still doing it. When I push the button for it to check the car status, everything checks out fine.
Hey I have the same problem...i changed all 8coils and spark plugs. But now when I start the car sometimes it stutter(shaking), but once I pass 3rd gear it drives fine, the engine light was blinking, then stayed on..but I disconnect the battery to clear it. Would the car shake if your low on fuel?
You need to find out what codes have been set
one of your coil packs is going bad.

I have many problems with my 2000 LS. The transmition and engine set the engine light off, first it was my shocks, the a cylinoid in the trans, and two days ago my timing chain blew at a 150002 kms and completely ruined my car. Best advice GET RID OF IT!!!!

2001 lincoln ls v8. The check engine light flashes when i go over 100 km/h and will continue to flash for some time, after i decrease my speed and it will stop and disappear off the dash. What list of things could cause this to happen and will it be expensive to repair for this car? Also is my car being damaged with this problem
