2006 Toyota Sienna Fan Runs When Engine Is Off

The fan in my Sienna runs when the van is off, usually when it rains, and drains the battery. I had the relay replaced and the actual fan replaced and it happened again. My mechanic can't figure out why it's happening. He supposedly checked all the connections, but no luck. Any suggestions as to what the issue is? Thank you.

My Sienna died again. Mechanic could not figure out why. He poured water on it to try and make the fan kick on, but of course, the problem didn't surface. I think it has to be electrical. Even if it's a shot in the dark, do you have any ideas?

    Thank you.

When you say FAN I presume you mean radiator fan. This will run if it thinks the engine is very hot. You may have noticed on a hot day the fan will carry on even when you take the keys out. In this case it could be the thermostat for the fan thinks it's too hot.

My fan keeps coming on after my car turns off and draining my battery and the car is not hot. how do i get the fan to satay off

The fan runs on a temperature sensor and operates according to engine temperature.(even with the engine off).I would suggest this is faulty. To locate this trace the wires from the fan
