Driver's Side Power window control panel on door doesn't work.

I have a 2006 GMC Envoy and a few days ago, the power window control panel intermittently stopped working. A few minutes would go by, then it would work again.

Last night, the control panel stopped working all together. I checked the fuse box but that's like reading Chinese. I pulled all the fuses I could, checked each one and they are all fine. I am a single mother who is struggling and I really don't want to have to pay if it's something simple. Can someone help me? THANK YOU!

    2005 envoy same problem

  • stephanie26 Mar 10, 2009

It started with my door panel going crazy and having the driver's side window not working. Then the heated seat options started going on and off on its own. Next came my driver's side mirror moving while I was driving and not allowing me to control it at all.

There is a constant clicking in the door hapening and the entire door pannel is going nuts. The truck now stalls while I am driving and locks itself up. I have to sit with flashers on for 5 minutes until it decides to start again.

When I phoned the dealership, they said it could cost up to $200 to hook it up for a diagnostic...and they can't promise that they will find what is wrong. I may have to go for more than 1 diagnostic...all at my expense.

Unsafe vehicle, 4 kids in the back and they say it could be anything and not their problem. Oh yeah...have I ever done anything to it? Trying to put it on me before they even look at it.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I took it to a mechanic who has the same vehicle and he said it was the switch in my driver side door panel. Not that big a deal, but a little costly and the switch has to be programmed by a dealer wich is BS. The mechanic put the switch on and it will work on all my other windows except my driver window. so good luck.

2002 gmc envoy windows roll down and up by themselves

The power windows on your vehicle are controlled by an electronic control module , as are the power mirrors !
Power Window System Components
The power window system consists of the following components:
• Driver door module (DDM)
• Passenger door module (PDM)
• Body control module (BCM)
• LR power window switch
• RR power window switch
• Window up and window down relays in each of the rear passenger window switches
• Window lockout switch
• Reversible power window motors in each of the doors (circuit breaker protected)
• LT DOOR CB 25A (System power for left rear window)
• RT DOOR CB 25A (System power for right rear window)

Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.

Power window, power locks ,and power mirrors don't work on my gmc envoy 2006 but the other controlers work in the vehical.

I assume you are talking about the controller on the driver's door. The Driver's Door Module is likely defective. For troubleshooting purposes, you can swap in the passenger side module to verify.

2006 gmc envoy drivers door has no power to it , no dome light when you open door all other doors are ok

{: ) Try checking the DDM fuse 10 amps at the rear fuseblock. If you'll be able to access the connectors under the driver door switch, check for 12v power by probing on all the orange wires. Check also the black wires for good ground connections. If the windows can be operated on the driver's door switches, then the door lock actuator coud be faulty. But if most or all of the buttons on the driver door switches doesn't seem to function at all, despite 12v power and ground on the respective terminals, then it can be a malfunctioning driver door switch. A new driver door switch will also require programming.
If ever this is the case and you need to be sure, you can try swapping the driver door switch from another vehicle you know of with a similar configuration as your vehicle.

I have a 2006 GMC Envoy Denali. The power locks on both the rear passenger side wont unlock automatically. i have to manually unlock it. although the automatic lock option works. All the other doors work...

both the rear passenger side wont unlock ???? How many doors are on the passenger side ? Or both back doors don't unlock ? Two relays lock / unlock the back door's Not the lift gate . The BCM controls the relay's . The relay's are located in the rear fuse box . Under back seat .

Power windows on driver side door doe'st work.all other doors do.

First check if there is a separate fuse for the single side window.

The most common case is a blown windows switch or a problem with chassis control module, that is a kind of big relay-like part that among other things is controlling electric windows.
If the motor is humming and windows is stuck then the problem is with windows regulators, that are the guides holding the glass. They are inside the door , behind door panel.
