SOURCE: My ABS warning light is coming on sometimes?

A lot of times it's as simple as a dirty/rusty surface on one or more sensors at the wheels. Does it appear to happen more when wet weather, dirty roads etc? Also did he clean /sandpaper, or steel wool the sensors and wirebrush or whatever the reference points on the wheel do you know? I've seen a quick trip to the carwash, and blast water in behind the wheels, clean them too, especially here in Canada during snow season.

SOURCE: check engine light code p1603

When I went outside to start my Jaguar X-Type it was cold outside. I was in a hurry and didn't let the car warm up properly. It jumped a bit then the check engine light came on along with a message that said No cruise control. The no cruise light came off but my check engine light is still on. Any suggestions as to what it may be?

SOURCE: 2001 S Type Jaguar ABS and Traction Control fault lights on

Hi First I suggest that you get a diagonostic check on ABS system. and then a visual inspection of the brakes. Warped brake rotors do not make noice, but the steering will start to judder when brakes applied at around speeds from 40 up . Possible cause that the vehile picked up something from road such as nylon/ plastic/stone Mike

SOURCE: reset warning engine light

you can reset the engine warning light by taking the earth lead off the battery and connecting it to the positive lead, then switch on the ignition,. Reconnect the earth lead to the battery and the light will have been reset. What you are doing is discharging the diagnostic chip to earth, which is exactly what the jaguar main dealer equipment does. This works on all cars.
PLEASE NOTE, make sure you disconnect the earth lead from the battery .

Changed battery on my 2003 S-type v6, starts fine, runs fine but all the lights in the dash are on. How can I reset?

Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and connect it back up again and re-check.

Were these same warning lights displaying before the battery was replaced?

How to reset brake lite on my 2005 X type jaguar?

which brake warning light is on? the xtype does not have pad wear sensors fitted. so i guess you mean the abs light or the handbrake light.more than likely its the abs light and the common problem is the reluctor rings on one or the other of the rear outer constant velocity joints corroded/ fell off get the fault codes out of the abs module to help.

Dsc light stays on just wana no what to do

the dsc system is linked to the abs you need to get fault codes out of the relevant module using a code reader to sort this out, is the abs light on as well? that's a clue, if so the reluctor rings on the drive shafts are suspect or the front wheel speed sensors or link leads.

My son has a 2005 Jaguar X Type...the brake and abs lights stay on plus the abs pump doesn't shut off when the car is off?

My best guess is a Speed / ABS sensor, it must keep sending a signal to the pump to kick in. If thats not it, i would take a shot in the dark and say ABS pump is getting stuck.. (The second is a GUESS, dont take my word for it please)
Jaguar / Ford can diagnose it, and tell you "Left rear sensor" or something.. Then just go and do the work yourself (If you have the "Know how" )
