This may be due to a bad lock actuator, i will need to ask a few questions first. Can you lock the door by hand using the button? or is the lever stuck? Is the problem that it does not work with the power locks only?
Let me try to answer these, first if the door lock does not work with the power locks then the door lock actuator may be bad, the door panel will need to be removed and test for power at actuator. While inside the door check lock linkage. If the door lock lever wont move then that may also be related to a frozen lock actuator, that is the same as above. a bad or frozen lock actuator will not allow door to lock or unlock but sometimes a bad actuator will not work with the power button but will allow you to lock and unlock with lock lever or door key, the door panel needs to be removed to check . good day.

Rear river side power door lock on 2006 hyundai sonata not working. Power locks working on all other doors. Is this a faulty power lock actuator for that specific door?

Yes, probably, but before you pull off the inner panel, check for broken wires in that rear door opening. You might luck out and find a broken wire for the lock. Then probably won't have to pull the inner panel off.

2001 hundai accent cannot unlock car doors with key. It worked on doors lastmonth. Have used lock deicer, wd-40 to no avail. Key works in ignition & trunk.

dose the key turn in the lock you could have a worn door lock where the plastic link bar on the back of the barrel gets a bit worn and just dosnt pull the link bar up enough , you realy need to remove the door pannel and really look at whats happening to the lock from inside the door checking the movement when you turn the key to unlock position you may even take up any play on the link bar to the latch lock by putting a slight bend in the bar to take up the slack

2000 cadillac deville driver side won't open with the key

1) Key turns but dose not unlock door. This means that the rod that goes to the back of the lock has came off. This also means that is the reason door is not unlocking with the remote as it pops the lock rod inside the door which pushes the lock open.
2) Key does not turn lock at all but works passengers side door. This means that the locks has been changed in the door, but that doesn't sound like the problem as you say the remote doesn't open the drivers side door so more than likely the rod has came off the back of the lock

Drive side power door lock is not working

If the door lock works ok with a key, I would say the lock actuator is failing. Its a small electric solenoid that moves the lock rod.

I HAVE A BOXTER S THAT HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CENTRAL LOCKING IT WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DRIVERS DOOR BUT DOSE NOT UN DO THE PASSENGER DOOR THE BUTTON THAT OPERATES THE LOCKS INSIDE THE CAR IS LIT UP RED...

I would say that the actuator on the passenger door lock is bad, and tripping the sensor to the switch. I don't think the boot light has anything to do with the door locks. That, I think is another issue.

Driverside door lock & window stopped working.

It may seam extremely complex this problem however its likely vary simple. What you need to do is fine out what works and what dose not . Dose the keyless work on other doors the battery is G or NG. You also mention the remote starter stopped working and D and P position no longer works correctly with the controls /switches in the drivers side door only' not the other doors ..
The control panel for the locks and window switches are on the arm rest drivers door it tends to get wet rain snow window open over time bad connections /switch contact and that is the point you need to look at first . Get some electrical contact cleaner spray into the switches not to much spillage use a tube or it may damage trim materials .
Then use the controls back and forth if you see any improvement of function starts /then stops any change you found the problem .Its in the door.

The auto door lock feature dose not work.

There is 3 relays in one of the fuse panels that are labeled doorlocks one of them is probably bad. Push the door lock button and find the one that is clicking this is the one that is back. This should fix your problem

The remte control key is not responding with the car

Hi abdumi0f,

Firstly, open your glove box and make sure Valet Mode is not enabled, if it is not, follow these steps.

Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.
Step 2: Lock and unlock the driver’s door using the power door lock switch on the door.
Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.
Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT - use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.
Step 5: Open and close the driver’s door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).
Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.
Step 7: Press any button on remote #1 twice. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.
Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) twice. Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.
Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done!

Hope this helps,

My security remote dose not work

Hello, It seems as is if you have a remote that will not lock the doors all the time. There can be a couple of reasons that it wont work at times.1 it may have a weak battery,2 there may be some kind of residue inside the key fob itself such as tea, coke, water, or even sweat. This will short the fob out at times.Thank you
