How to remove the driverside door panel 2001 325i

I'm trying to get to the window motor but I cant get the door panel off. I got stumped at the door handle, I removed the two screws but it is still getting held up by the mirror control.

How do i repair the wiring to the other windows in my 2001 Buick Lesabre Custom? Only my driverside window and power lock works

FIRST MAKE SURE YOU DID NOT LOCK THE WINDOW, BY RELEASING THE BUTTON, THEN REMOVE DOOR PANEL ON PASSENGER SIDE , UNPLUG WINDOW MOTOR, AND TEST FOR POWER AND GROUND AS SOME ONE PUTS THE WINDOW DOWN FROM BOTH SWITCHES, IF POWER AND GROUND IS THERE REPLACE MOTOR, IF NO POWER THERE CHECK SWITCH, POSIBLE BAD SWITCH, BUT IF YOU SUSPECT WIRING , CHECK THE DOOR JUMB ON DRIVERS SIDE, INSIDE THE RUBBER BOOT MAY BE ONE OR MORE BROKEN WIRES , REPAIR THEM. Driverside window won't work

Remove door panel. Check window switch. Access window motor leads (2 wires) and apply 12v dc current to both, then switch contact to leads. You should see motor go forward and reverse. If not, get a motor/ window regulator.

Hello Sir.
Welcme To Fixya's Community.

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel, as outlined in this section.
  2. Remove the plastic sheet water deflector.
  3. Remove the window-to regulator bolts by raising the window far enough to gain access to the bolts through the door metal.
  4. Raise and securely tape the window in the full up position.
  5. Detach the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the regulator from the door.
  7. If the motor is to be replaced, simply unbolt the motor from the regulator.

To install
  1. If the motor is to be replaced, install the motor to the regulator. The motor can be installed with the regulator in any position. Tighten the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  2. Install the regulator to the door and install the mounting bolts. To ensure proper orientation of the window regulator to the door, it is very important that the window regulator bolts are tightened in the specified sequence. Tighten the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm) in this sequence.
    1. Lower Right
    2. Upper Right
    3. Lower Left
    4. Upper Left
  3. Attach the electrical connector.
  4. Carefully untape the window and lower the glass far enough to gain access to the bolts through the door metal. Tighten the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  5. Install the plastic sheet water deflector.
  6. Install the door trim panel, as outlined in this section.

Front driverside power window

Remove the door panel, locate power window motor and unplug. With a test light or meter, check for voltage at the plug while pushing window switch. You will see voltage at one wire to ground for up and the other wire to ground for down. If you have voltage at the plug, replace motor. If no voltage, check switch and wiring. Switch is probable cause for no voltage at motor plug.

2001 malibu rear driverside window off track

Just take a phillips screw driver, and a good sturdy putty knife, and your fingers, and just pry the plastic away from the metal of the door...

Open the door first, and where the inside door handle there should be 1 or 2 screws, and one near where the handle is to open the door from the inside. Take these out first before attempting to pry off the door panel. The panel is held onto the door by plastic snaps shaped like an enlongagted tooth.

Use COMMON SENSE AND BE GENTLE YET FIRM....

Don't be surprised if you have to get a whole new window motor assembly, alot of times they come as one assembly and seperate parts do not exist. Good Luck!!
