Loss of power when going up

I have a nissan presage 98 automatic transmision. Loss of power when going up hill. Sometimes youve got to floor the pedals inorder to have power. It seems like it shifts ahead of time. I think it shifts to second or third while it must still be on first gear in order to climb. could someone please help me

In the first place you must change the filter and the transmission oil in your automatic gear box , if the problem persists and your gear box shift not the gear for climbing hills it is a tehnycal problem with your gear box , but in my opinion ( i had a similar problem with my car ) this is the only problem. God help You ! Sorry for my English !

2004 Nissan Presage. Is there a power outlet cigarette lighter in the rear of a Nissan Presage 2004?

You could buy a manual for it, or you could get in the back and look. For a 2004 it is unlikely, as it is before the days of kids with iPads.

Looking for service manual 1998 nissan presage C2

Hello Elaine Sarginson,

Some for FREE... (USA version appears to be ALTRA EV)

"Presage" is NOT getting ANY hits in the USA market...
Which is UNUSUAL... Typically it is HAS a "similar" version
being sold here... "FACTORY" Is important.

>> I'd suggest you try your own search

1998+presage+FACTORY+REPAIR+MANUAL

(although I'm a strong advocate of buying and cherishing FACTORY REPAIR MANUALS... some can be VERY expensive
(but sooner PAY for THEMSELVES)).

Cherish = clean hands while reading.

My partners 2003 Nissan Presage high temperature light comes on only when we climb a significant hill and goes off when we level off. Any thoughts.

Coolant/water pump, residue in the engine or radiator, radiator isn't clean on the out side(too many bugs or dirt). 13 years old and can't handle the stress.

My nissan serena petrol model2003 loses power up d hill..wat could b d problem

It could be your clutch. Is this a standard or automatic model?

In a standard transmission model - when the actual clutch in between the engine and transmission gets used past it's threshold - one or your first signs is loss of power; especially going over a hill or bridge. The further it goes the worse it's going to get until it goes out completely. When you press in the clutch pedal - you're actually separating the power from the engine to the transmission - putting the vehicle in a neutral state whichever gear it is in. When you release the clutch pedal - the friction between the two are allowed to join again and off you go. the clutch is what helps transfer that power. No clutch? No power. Could be a stack of other things as well - but that's a solid one to check. All The Best

I have a 93 gmc c1500 4.3cy v6 with loss of power

The best thing to do is have auto zone check your codes for free and that would be a place to start from.
