Passenger window fell down

Not on track clicking noise

  • nick kennedy Dec 07, 2008

we have a 2007 chevy trailblazer and the window all of a sudden stopped rolling up all the way it seems to be on its track but it fails to close the last inch or so. also there seems to be a grinding noise coming from somewhere like maybe a rock is stuck in something but i have removed the door panel and looked but cannot seem to find any obstructions. if u can help with this please let me know. I have the same problem. Mine was about 6 inches. The cable was off the pulley and now it's back on there but the window won't move, same grinding noise like the glass is being chewed up or something. The cable is so kinked that it's getting messed up and caught in the motor of the regulator I think. Not too mechanically inclined. Sorry not much help

2008 Mazda Tribute driver window fell down

Really easy to test with a 12v test light. If the plug gets power when you push the switch I'd think it would be a bad motor.

Rear passenger window fell down dodge 1500 2003 can hear the motor I need a regulator

How do you know you need a regulator? Sometimes the window will pull out of the track and fall down in the door. Spread the door slot with a screw driver just enough to see down inside the door Take a bright light and carefully operate the window up and down..CAREFULLY remember if the door is off track, the track still will move up and down and could wedge and break or scratch the glass...if it isn't off the track or is..the inside door cover must be removed..to get at the mechanism...it can be done by a DYS ER but will, take some time and understanding of the system ..then some professional type adhesive to keep on track ..you can find a window place for that... Good luck

Passenger side window came off trac and is sitting in door

you have to remove the door panel..unbolt the tracking from inside the door..slide the windows back inside the track rails....push window all the way up..tape the window so that id does not fall back down or have someone hold window up while you rebolt the track to the door.replace door panel....the tracks move over time and that it why the window fell.

Passenger side power windows will not roll down

Do you hear a clicking noise as if the motor is trying or no sound at all? If you hear a clicking or humming noise it is likely the track has come loose. The track is scissor like and what the window sits in inside the door. Sometimes they can derail. If you DONT hear any clicking or humming it is likely that your window motor has burnt out on that side. A common occurrence with heavy use or low power conditions. The window motor for your vehicle can be found at partsgeek it is a relatively easy fix if you are handy with tools and patient. About a 2 hour fix on weekend, but requires removing door panel interior and removal of motor
