Inoperable Power Window 2006 Jeep Liberty

2006 Jeep Liberty passenger rear door power window does not go up or down. When pushing button can hear the motor run but making a different noise.
When looking at the window I can manually slide up and down with little resistance.

I have had to have my left rear window regulator replaced 8 times now since purchasing my Liberty in 2006.

It just recently broke again and my warranty has run out. Does anyone know how to replace one of these yourself? I saw something for a 2002 but am unsure of the differences... any help?

Bought my 2006 Jeep Liberty in December of 2006. The windows have fallen into the door 7 times within the last 2 1/2 years. Frustrated I have contacted a lemon law attorney to assist in my problem. Chrysler has offered a 6 year 60000 mile extended warranty at no cost to me but cannot guarantee me that the windows will not fall into the door again. It's more hassle than it's worth. I can not wait until this claim is settled so that I can get out of this piece of junk.

My front passenger window stopped working. We've checked the fuse, replaced the switch and the door lock button works but not the window. Could this be the motor?

After I verify both driver window control switch and the passenger wdo control switches don't cause the window to operate, I turn off engine and go on ACC Mode and listen for a relay clicking in the door or the BCM while you operate the switch. If you hear a click, then it's a bad wdo motor.

Front Window stoped working on 2002 Jeep Liberty

Three things. Fuse, window motor, or bad switch. If the fuse is good, remove the door panel, disconnect the harness to the window motor, and check to see if you have power with a test light/volt meter while pushing the window switch (ignition switch in ON position). If you have power, the motor is bad, if you do not, replace the window switch.

2003 Jeep Liberty rear side window "squeals" when operated down.

I usually spray guide tracks with a silicone spray. It works pretty well. Up north where I am, when sprayed on door seals it keeps doors from freezing closed as well!

Rear passenger side window stuck in down position

1) Yes you are right to think that it is the regulator.
2) You can repair this.

Remove the screws that hold the door panel on.
Remove the door panel. There are alot of clips on the door panel that just need to be pulled out with panel while removing.
Remove debris shield.(plastic piece between door panel and door.
The regulator will be visible at this point.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the regulator. Separate Glass from regulator. Some use clips some use bolts to hold the glass to the regulator.
Remove regulator attaching bolts.

Thats it just reverse the procedure for installation.
