Remove the back panel on the rear tailgate, should be some screws then pop off. From there you will be able to see the switch and see if you can operate it manually by using a screw driver and hitting the switch if not then replace it. Located next to the key lock

there are little metal rods that connect to the handle of the tailgate, just like the rods that connect your door handles to the door hinges and lock mechanism. just pop off the plastic cover over the tailgate handle and check and see if the rods are still connected to the handle.

remove the steering wheel . you might need a puller to pull it loose after you loosen the nut .. after you get it off look down in there and there is a small bolt that holds the switch in the column use a small light and you will see how it is held in there. some have a clip to pull too.. then out comes the switch .. thanks and holler if you need more. jerry

The glass guy knocked loose the connector to the switch on the lock cylinder... You will need to remove the panel to acess it... Hope this helps...;-)

I have the same problem, when I took the door apart I found that there is a plastic extension on the end of cyclinder that moves in and out on that electric motor you hear. Well the plastic extension is broken off and that is what moves the lever to open your window latch. I tryed Krazy Glue with JB weld to fix the plastic piece but the first release of the window it just broke off again so I'll have to order a new one. You can't just order the plastic extension according to Chevy you have to order the motor aswell about $80.00 CAD.
To get the door apart yourself, I just pulled out on the plastic trim on top enough to get a long narrow screw driver down there and you will see a brass like lever in the shape of a L , you want to push that to the left to release the window latch, and then you can unscrew the plastic trim properly and go from there.
