I suggest check brake switch, underdash, top back side brake pedal or some short/ground there.

No tail lights

if both went at same time it sounds like a fuse rather than bulbs. fuse boxes usually under dash and under bonnet near wings.

If the brake lights and turn signal lights work, then there may be a bad fuse. Check the fuse box.

Service advance trac light on & car won't start

Similar issue on my 2013 taurus. Died on me one day and wouldn't even crank. Advancetrac Service, 911 assist unavailable, sometimes braking system faults and just about every light on the dash illuminated. No codes. The problem was the Run/Start relay (Start/Run??). Swapped it with the windshield wiper relay to verify. Car started but the wipers didn't work. Replaced the Relay for $25 from AutoZone.

Tail light doesnt turn on with headlights but works fine as a break light and turn signal, why?

in the rear lights you may have two bulbs one is the turn signal the other one is stop light / tail light the stop light / tail light has two filaments, one for the stop light (21 watt) & one for the tail light (5 watt) it is possible that the tail light filament is blown, try replacing the bulb to see if that fixes the problem,also check all the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

I have a rental, there is no owner's manual in the vehicle. I don't know what the light on the dash that looks like a (!) means. It is a newer model Ford Fusion.

First look at the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) through the lower left (driver's side) of the windshield. The 8th digit in the VIN will tell you the model year of the vehicle.

Newer Model VIN year codes:
5 = 2005
6 = 2006
7 = 2007
8 = 2008
9 = 2009
A = 2010
B = 2011
C = 2012

You can download a FREE PDF version of the owner's manual at the Ford Web Site.

Front right side hit . replaced concerter and won't crank over /or start fuel pump doesn'd even come on when key is on ?

ricks63toy, I believe that Ford still uses what is called an inertia switch even in the hybrids. This switch will shut off in the event of an accident shutting off the fuel pump. This is a safety feature built into the vehicle. Seeing that this is a newer vehicle I trust that you still have the manual. If not, the switches are usually located in the trunk. Look on the side walls of the trunk and see if you can locate it. It is usually marked by a sticker. When you find the switch, push the red button down until you hear a click. This will reset the switch and allow power back to your fuel pump. Good luck with this.
