Originally my bravada had a slow fuel leak in the return line of the fuel sending unit. So my bf pulled a whole tank off a 99 blazer (interchangeable parts) although the fuel gage bounced around it ran good for a few weeks. other day hopped in ran him home from my place an went inside for moment came back out truck wouldnt start key locked in ignition no power unless you jiggled key but still couldnt turn over to start so we pulled ignition asembly from blazer.....nothing other than now it gave everything power but not wanting to start still. So I had it towed to local mechanics who has since replaced spark plugs an fuel filter an now beleives the fuel assembly maybe causing all the issues.........does anyone have any idea's or have run into this issue before?? Please help Im a single mom an need my truck. Feel free to email any an all suggestions to me @ [email protected]
SOURCE: my 93 bravada wont start since i replaced sending unit
check for power at the sending unit should have power for 10 sec on i belive the purple wire and the other wire will have power all the time power for 10 sec is what u want for fuel pump power ahd if u have power u should be able to hear fuel pump if you have power and do not hear pump pull sender out and check connection from pump to sender also check fuel connection from pump to sender
SOURCE: 1990 olds will start and maybe just die or will
check for a vapor lock losen up the fuel cap next time it does it and see if it starts
SOURCE: i PUT A NEW FUEL PUMP ON A 2000 BRAVADA AND IT
Check all the fuel lines and connections very carefully for leaks and condition. The pump may be drawing some air.
We assume you have the correct fuel pump for the vehicle, that it is operating normally, you have the correct fuel filter and that there are no obstructions in the fuel system as a result of the work carried out so far.
SOURCE: 99 olds bravada. just replaced fuel pump 2 weeks
Aftermarket fuel pump failure? Try "thepartsladi" store on eBay for low price GM OEM parts. Could also be wiring harness to fuel pump.
