Whats wrong with my is250 06 lexus steering its hard

Disconnect the tie rod links to the rack & pinion steering gear, and hand test the front end.
You probably have a binding tie rod or ball joint in the front end. Remember too, the steering pump or the rack & pinion could be bad, creating this problem.
With everything unhooked, the problem should be easily evident.

wow tyrell that's a real hard thing to say right off , as you don't know whats causing it yet ?? around here lexus dealers charge about 160 an hour for shop time , and id say it would take about two hours to test all the vac devices in your car , so after that its time and materials to fix it

Car only stalled steering got tight because pump stopped temp light came on because it stalled

Without knowing exactly what the beeping noise is, if it is an electronic beep it could be a signal that your power steering fluid is low. When pressure (the steering wheel turning), is put on the system, if it is clogged or has low fluid it will strain the system and you get more of a squeal but Lexus could have a beeping to notify you The fluid is low. If you check the fluid and it is at the right level than your system needs a flush. It's about $80 at Jiffy Lube

Well the only thing that can make the steering wheel hard is a broken power steering pump belt, or if you ran out of fluid, this happens only if you have a hydraulic power steering,But if you have an (EPS) which means Electronic Power Steering. Then that could be an electronic problem that you should talk to your dealer about because your car seems to be under warranty still and you don't wanna play with it until you see what they say about that. As mentioned check ps fluid. If it wines when turning and still no power then the pump is internally bad.. If the fluid is dissapearing fast then its a hose or most likely a leaking rack& pinion assembly..

it has electric power steering, take it to the dealer and ask if the service campaign has been done on the power steering rack. if not then it will be free and they will wash your car for you, fill up your gas tank and replace the steering rack and align the car. if it has been done then maybe they didnt reset the steering gear ecu.

Its your steering pump the reason it turns easier when you rev it up is because it runs parallel with the engine rpm.

check power steering fluid sounds like you may have a bad hydroboost
