This morning when i filled my gas tank i heard a loud fizzy noise, is this bad? also my check engine (i forgot the code but it had to do with the catalytic converter things) light is on again and i already took it to the chevy dealer and they said it was fine. what could be causing this?? thank you. and i already replaced the gas cap and it still comes on.

seems that your vent hose on the tank is plugged so the tank is over pressurrizing sending the error code and not allowing you to fill it all the way unclog the vent tube and this will solve the problem

there is a large evaporative leak. keep away form ottozoo, they dont have the brain power to actually diagnose a light bulb., their job is to sell parts., if they sell you the wrong parts tough.Take it to a qualified repair shop that does a lot of GM work or the dealer.

Could be a wiring issue, fuel cap got left off, fuel pressure sensor again or loose connection to the sensor and one of the other Evap hoses. Also might try changing the fuel cap. Look at the underside of the fuel cap and if there are cracks in the sealing rubber, replace the cap.

I would bring it back to the shop that did the work. If the code is coming out as a problem with the evap system it is not abnormal for the system to take 2 or 3 days for it to read again.

mine does similar , ive changed plugs ,wires,cat convertors,fuel filter,2 dist caps. it has no power up a hill or with the ac on.has even stalled out on me on the interstate going up a hill, light starts fashing . only says a misfire, thought maybe air flow cencor?curious what u find out
