I replaced the radio with an AIWA. Radio is powered. It receives a tremendous amount of stations, the problem is the speakers stopped working. I checked everything and a the connections are solid, the wires intact. There's not even background noise. It's almost as if theres some hidden switch not allowing the speakers to connect. Any ideas?

You have to go to the dealership and fork over $50 to get it. Unless you or the previous owner wrote it in the manual or anywhere else on the car, that's the only way.

I just replied to someone having the same problem with a Honda and saw one of the sponsors pop up in the Ads by Google box to the right that may help. I think with Hondas you have to go to the dealership where the car/radio was originally purchased and give them some numbers from the radio. The sponsor may charge to get the number for you but it may be worth a few bucks if that is the only solution. I didn't catch the web address or name - sorry.

You do not need to take the dash apart, there are two little slots oneon each side of the face of the radio, you need special removal tools to unlock it and it will pull right out, but first check in your owners manual, or in the spare tire well for the card, or sticker which has the serial number as well as the unlock code for your radio.

I assume you have this unlocked by now, but here's an answer for someone else for the future :-)
if you have the original radio that come with the car, look in the wheel well in the trunk, where the spare tire goes. (yep, you'll need to stand on your head). there is a sticker that will have the 4-digit code on it.
enter that into the radio.
I can't remember off the top of my head which one it is, but either the >> Scan or the am/fm button will be the "enter key"
CAR RADIO REPROGRAM TROUBLESHOOTING
To reprogram the
radio there is 4 digit code. That code has to be inserted, once these code is inserted,
your car radio will get into its actual setting where you can set/select your
radio setting.
Many
a time's radio asks for the code after car battery is disconnected.
On
some cases to retrieve the code its mentioned in manual or else car
dealer is other option to get car radio code.
