I have a 1994 Jaguar XJ6. I am having headlight problems. The low beams work fine but when you switch to the high beams the two headlights on the left go out but the headlights on the right side are on (for high beam). I switched the front headlight modules and get the same results. I think I have it nailed down to the LLU(Logic Lighting Unit). Can you tell me where the LLU is located in the car?? And can you tel me anything else that can cause this problem???
If your car is the xj40 model the lighiting logic module is under the fascia close to the lighting switch but i think the problem is more likely to be a earth problem or simply the bulbs the twin headlamp car has one twin filament bulb on the outer and one single on the inner so if both main beam filaments fail thats what will happen
SOURCE: I have a Jaguar XJR
under the hood, there is a fusebox, in it are 4 things you need to look form, the high beam and low beam fuses, make sure the low beam is fine and not blown. Then the high beam relay and low beam relay. Swap the relays, you'll find that its reversed now if one of the relays needs replacing.
Under the cover of the fuse box is a diagram showing where everything is.
