SOURCE: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherookee sometimes won't start
This could be something simple. Your starter draws far more power than anything except for the a/c clutch (not in play here) Since all accessories are functioning, it's likely that the battery terminals are oxidized. A high-draw item will actually break the connection temporarily. This condition will also change with humidity and temperature. Remove them and use a small wire brush or sandpaper to clean the battery posts and the inside of the connectors on the wires themselves. If you have done this and still have a problem, then you should start looking for other larger problems.
Good luck

The starter is bad. Solenoid is good, the starter itself is bad. You can remove it and take it to Schuck's/Chief's/Kragen/NAPA, they will test it for FREE. You can't beat free!!!

I have the exact same problem - did you ever find out what was wrong?

My man I know your pain... I have the exact same problem happening to me now... same make, year and model... I called a mechanic buddy of mine and he said I might have a "flat point" on my starter and if so this might happen intermittently... he suggested a replacement of the starter... But I think the other suggestion is also quite valid so I going to have my friend do both...
