Hi jlee0135,
Thanks for you advice on the automatic transmission for the 2002 Volvo S60, 2.0T for rbe4. The problem is definitely at the serv-band. He tested the solenoids and all working fine - they follow the self learning procedure.
The 3rd servo-band burnt now and my mechanic suspects that the washer between the servo-piston and piston-cab (it is loose inside) aleigned skew for one or the other reason and the result is that this piston is mulfuctioning for this reason.
He however got some advise from a bloke in South Africa to remove this washer. What to you think? Should he do this? Please give any procedure how to go about this problem to make sure that we do not get the 4th servo-band burnt.
we would also appreciate any web page where we can find the transmission diagnostic procedure for the transmission serial no: 50-55LE
Kind regards

Make sure that you have the transmission software updated. Volvo has had many upgrades on their transmission's control software to address these exact symptoms.
