There is a sound coming from my tires, so I was told by a Mazda manager, due to the fact that my tires were not rotated when they should have been. The sound is getting louder. A thumping sound. It occurs to be louder when I drive slower and getting more so. My tires warning light is also on more now that the colder weather is upon us. It makes me nervous as I love the vehicle and the tires are still good. I now have 33,000 miles on the car.

lift the car on lift end push/pull the wheel vertical. if find excessive play is your wheel bearing. run you hand on the tire back and for if you tire have bumps (every other thread) rotate tire across like X back to for.If the noise move to the front is the tire. Inspect you struts and suspention.
Sounds like you may have a bad CV joint. The CV joint allows power to transfer to the wheels while still allowing articulation of axle while in rotation. You say the sound and/or vibration follows the tire rotation speed, this is a good clue to allow the elimination of components it couldn't be.
Things it could be;
Generally, the output shaft of the transaxle, inner CV joint, axle shaft, outer CV joint, stub axle (this is usually part of the outer CV joint and is splined), the hub and bearing, brake rotor, wheel, and tire.
A visual inspection of the axle and CV joints, and to check them for play may show the problem location. You say the sound stops while execlerating, this means that the power from the engine is removing the ability for the loose part to "rattle" around. Most of the time this is a CV joint.
If you want to inspect the CV joints yourself, as a general rule there should be no rotational play in the axle shaft by hand. By this I mean if you grab the axle shaft and try to spin it one way and then the other you should feel no noticable play. The CV boots (the rubber covering around the joint to keep dirt and moisture out and grease in) should be clean and dry. Check them for splits, cracks, or just generally grease seepage.
The outer joint (the one just behind the wheel itself) is more likely to have this kind of problem due to the fact that it articulates much more than the inner one, in order to allow you to turn the wheel during steering and still apply engine power to the wheel at the same time.
The noise is most likely caused by the different wear pattern on the tire that came from the rear of the car. The difference in the alignment between the front and rear suspension systems causes the tires to wear accordingly. It will take some time for the tires to wear in to their new environment. The noise should go away gradually. You should also check your tire pressure to make sure you don't have an improperly inflated tire.
Sometimes, the wheels stick a little due to corrosion. A sharp kick on the side of the tire will break it loose from the lug nut studs. I know this does not sound professional, but it is what you have to do.
Please check for worn treade.. If a tire wears unevenly, it will make the vehicle virbrates in a high speed rotation. I had the simular situation before on my vehicle where the vibration starts when speed goes beyond 65 miles/110 Kmp. I took the car to a repairshop and the mechanic told the two front tire need to replace because they were worn out unevenly. Hopefully this will give some hints to your problem.
I have had the same problem at almost exaclty the same milage. 2004 Mazda 3 3 door hatchback (5 door sedan). I was told by the service manager that there is a valve in the manifold that fails and starts flapping, sounded just like a collapsed lifter. I think this should be covered under warranty. If not the mfg warranty the emissions? .. good luck.

It sounds like you have a wear pattern in the tires. If the tires wear rotated from left to right this problem will be exacerbated because they are going in the opposite direction. If you can't live with it then rotate back to the original positions or replace tires
Mazda 3 has an internal computer that manage some electronical sistems, this problem is due becouse a damage on this computer, most of the times the solution is to change this computer.
