How to get fuel out of your VTEC? Sorry, I'm not sure what you are talking about. VTEC is an engine. Are you wanting to drain the fuel tank? Or relieve fuel pressure from the rails on the engine?

SOURCE: 2001 honda civic obd code

reset the ecu pull #6 fuse 15a for 10 msec. check oil level fill if needed. start engine hold at 3 grand for at least 2 sec road test if still comes back 1259 repeat 2 times. If it is gone it is intermit problem check for loose terminals at VTEC solenoid vavle oil pressure switch and the ECM/PCM. If you still have the code turn ignition off remove resonator disconnect the VTEC oil pressure switch 2p connector check for contnuity between VTEC oilpress switch terminals 1 and 2 if none replace the oil pressure switch. if yes measure voltage between ECM/PCM connector B9 and body ground. Voltage? repair open wire between B9 and the oil pressure switch. If no than the ECM/PCM will need to be checked for the latest software and reprogrammed to be further diaged. This will only be able to bedone at the dealer.

If the engine calls for a 5w 30 weight motor oil, then stick with it,and use a blend,or full synthetic oil, castrol is the best, and use this fuel treatment,if you want to see a difference in fuel usage ,LUCAS fuel treatment, use it with as less as possible, fuel. It will work better,to clean the fuel system, and the injectors.Make sure the battery is real good, and check the alternator at the battery with engine running,it should read,13.65 volts,to 14.25 volts, with everything on,anything less,is not enough, replace the alternator. If the charging system, battery included,is not up to par, then the alternator works hard all the time trying to charge the battery up to full ,and it never does, because of ,either the battery is not in good shape,or the alternator is charging too little, and when the alternator engages,it pulls down on the engine, therefore using fuel more.

I have a 1995 Honda Civic vtec. When it get warm, it starts to sputter, starve for gas and the catylic converter get hot. the car then stop.

If it was starving for gas the catalytic converter wouldn't get hot. So look for excessive fuel flow. This condition is caused by a defective MAP sensor. It acts like an altimeter for the computer and adjusts the amount of fuel for optimal power at any altitude.

My 96 civic 1.6 dohc vtec wont vtec any suggestions why this would happen

vtec is controlled by oil pressure so first check the oil, if it is low that can cause it. if you change your oil the way you should then the solenoid could be bad on most Hondas it is right by the oil filter.

Will a cylinder head from a 1996 honda civc 1.5l non vtec work correctly on a 93 honda civic 1.5l non vtec

The 1996 civic has a 1.6L b-16 engine. The only difference between the v-tec and non v-tec engine is the dual overhead cam i believe. The 93 civic also should have a b-16 engine in it. The cylinder head should work.......

1996 Honda Civic

What the previous owner told you could be correct(that is 33mpg), B16A1 Vtec engine were made for power and fuel efficiency. Your clutch upgrade would not affect your fuel consumption unless you feel anything slipping during acceleration. I say you give your engine a good tune up and compare the milage again.
