I Have An Chevy S 10 Blazer With A Carburated 283cid Engine i have to keep adjusting my fuel pressure regulator back up to 4.5lbs do you think my regulator or my in tank pump is going bad?

It's a conversion that really should never have been attempted. It requires a different fuel tank and external fuel pump, preferably the engine mounted factory pump. These modifications aren't even legal to do.
First, I have never seen an S-10 Blazer that is carbureted and equipped with an in-tank fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator. Are you sure you are not talking about a throttle body injected engine?
Then, even if such a vehicle does exist, it would make sense to me that the pump is either capable of producing the pressure or it is not. If it adjusts to where you want it, it would make sense to me that the pump is doing what it is supposed to do. Adjusting the regulator would not cause the pump to pump more. It would only affect how much of what the pump is pushing gets returned to the tank. On the other hand, a hole in a regulator diaphram that keeps getting larger could easilly cause the symptoms you are describing.

probably not fuel filter . probably going to have to remove the upper intake and replace the fuel injector spider(fuel inj assebly) if it is droping fuel pressure it is leaking into the upper manifold

yes you have to drop the tank. you will also need a fuel line tool to unhook the fuel lines. before you drop the tank see if tou can reach and wiggle the electrical connection on the top of the tank. these pumps have a pigtail issue. please rate

Most fuel injected vehicles have a relay that controls the fuel pump so after the ignition switch has been on for about 5 seconds and the engine is not running, the fuel pump automatically shuts off.
I don't know what your original problem was, but I think if the car runs normally, you have probably fixed your problem. If you don't have a manual, you can probably go to the library and take a look at a manual that covers your vehicle.

i would check the fuel pressure and see what it reads. im not for sure what the reading would be for that year model. you can call your local service department and see what they are. check them with the key on and vehicle off, then check them with the car on. if you dont get the right readings you are supposed to then i would say the fuel pump is not doing what it is supposed to do.
