Did the electric fan on the radiator start up? if this dont start up, it can get the engine overheated , specily if the car run in hot weather , an when the car stay on idle . The other problem is the engine head , the head gasket can blow and you get the compresion presure in the water chanal .Try to se of the oil on engine is gray? If gray you must change head gasket.
Hoope this can help you

The water pump is a possibility. It could also be a head gasket leak into the water jacket. At idle the pressure may not be enough to overheat the engine, but acceleration would cause rapid overheating.

Sounds like it was not flushed properly and bleed of air pockets. Many engines have bleed screws to bleed all the air out when refilling.

I have an overheating 2004 vw Passat I verified the water pump was working by removing the fill line to the fill tank and it was flowing steady at 2000 rpm. I also burped the system by running the car at...

it could be the thermostat. if the car stays at normal operating temp at idle and only gets hot when you drive it is the water pump. i just changed one that never overheated at idle even when it set for an hour or more. as soon as I tried to drive it I would get a mile down the road and it would be burning hot. took the water pump off and the impeller was spinning on the pump shaft.

Vw passat 03 overheats when ac is on in peak traffic/stationary

since the water pump was replaced, make sure you don't have an air pocket in the cooling system. flush your cooling system again. remember, if all was well before the tune up/preventative maintanance, it's within those items that were replaced. I don't think it's the condensor, thats a/c related, but the radiator and water pump, well those can cause overheating problems. when the system overheats, you will feel it in the ac.

2004 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT V6 NO HEAT LAST YEAR HEAT WOULD BARELY GET WARM THIS YEAR I TURN ON HEAT AND GET NOTHING BUT AIR A/C CAR HAS CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT

Had this problem after replacing water pump. Hard system to bleed. small bleeders on heater hoses and one near the front of the engine.
VW vortex has a post on cooling system bleeding. check to see if both heater hoses are hot. if so check the climate control: push econ and mode at the same time. it will give you codes. The blend door can be checked for freedom of movement.
