if you are loosing oil pressure it could be a number of different things, first of all check the oil on level ground and make sure you don't have an oil leak dumping your oil out. if your oil level is good then how long since the last oil change? could be sludge build up in your oil pump pick-up screen, could be the engine getting worn and the bearing clearance becoming too great for proper oil pressure build up. best thing to do is take it to a reputable shop and have it checked.

It has to be eighter electical of fuel related. And even if the fuel pump is working under some condutions this year chevy is knowen to have a problem with the wireing to the pump. The wire was not a resistance wire and tended to over heat .The new pumps came with a replacement wireing harnest that was a couple feet long and did not plug into the old pump connector so it had to be cut out and the new harnest needed to be installed . Idon't know what you did but this may be your problem But if the pump and filter are new and your sure your getting a spark win the engine is turning and you know the relay is good and by the way this fuel system uses the oil pressure sending unit as a back up for the power to the fuel pump . It runs off fuse #9 and splits gose to the relay and also to the oil pressure unit so it will run even if the relay is bad . The sending unit would be another thing i would look at . Ihave wireing schamitcs for this vehicle if you want I thinks its fuel can't say for sure but check your electrical if its not that its fuel .
