Car hasn't been started for about a week. Went out to start it and it won't turn over and smells like it's flooded.
Have the exact same problem. I've tried everything you recommended with no luck. 2002 ford mustang. Fluids all look good.

First check battery. easy way turn lights on try to start of lights fade out batt; flat! charge batt: if engine doz,nt turn over with fresh batt:check starter motor! if turns over still not start,check plugs and spark, do not floor pedal just push it a bit.try this if still problem get back to me.
When you say "wont turn over", do you mean wont start or engine wont crank? if the engine cranks and wont start, try holding gas pedal all the way to floor and crank engine for 10-15 seconds.does it attempt to start? if it starts, rev it up a couple times to clear all unused fuel from engine. may need tune-up, esp spark plugs. if still wont start. let me know and will try to guide you further

hi my car cranks but wont start.
I have a 2001 camaro, I was coming down a bridge and I was trying to get gas but the car will not acculate, then it started to shake and finally it turned off.....my boyfriend came and could not get it to start so we called a tow-truck once the tow-truck dropped the car we tried to turn it on again and it turned on. I tried to turn it on the next day and it started to smoke from the engine. what can be wrong?
