not sure on an s10 but it should be close to the same position as a full size truck. Should be in the engine compartment, drivers side on top of the motor on the fuel rail. Held in by a snap ring or a c ring. When you buy your part, ask the salesman and they should be able to tell you for sure.
SOURCE: fuel pressure regulator had no vacuum line connected
another engineers wet dream. think of it this way . what is normally in the intake when the engine is running.. answer vacume, hence the regulator gets its vacume without a hose connected to it as its already in a full time vacume chamber.no hose required . ps be carefull to seat the regulator and o rings securely into the housing befor you reattach the secureing metal clip.
good luck chris

Two places to look...if you have separate injectors for each cylinder then regulator should be at the front end of the fuel rail. If you have throttle body injection it is on the throttle body itself.
SOURCE: Where is the fuel regulator located on a 1988 tbi
No, low fuel pressure is caused by a weak fuel pump.
High fuel pressure is caused by a faulty fuel regulator.
