Hi all I have a citroen C8 that suddenly developed a fault where I had to be towed home. All power went but the battery is fine as used in another car. No Power to the dashboard but all fuses test OK. Please help as I am a Taxi driver and need for my work.
Sounds like an earth problem, check the earth cable to the engine.
That's one possibility. In these cars (Citroen C8, Peugeot 806, Lancia Phedra) the positive cable has a small black thing which looks like a small black brick. It's right on the connector which is clamped on the battery positive. I think it is a kind of fuse. Mine on my Phedra got blown after long starting in these cold days. All power is gone. I had to solder the two parts of the connector together, bypassing this small thingy.

One evening the car gradually lost power and came to acomplete stop.Could not start.diagnosis,power streering pump was lealing oil on to the alternator and this damaged the alternator hence was not being charged.The alternator & the pump have been replaced and now have the above message coming up.What's the solution and is it dangerous to drive the car?
