Hi a camber kit changes the way a cars suspension works and adjusts the wheels to a certain angle, it is highly unlikely that an unmodified car requires a camber kit as usually modified cars that sit really low need them, i would get a 2nd opinion before buying as they are not cheap

Alignment Shops ( not some chain store place)
have reference material & update bulletins- for all
vehicles

There are alignment kits, parts & proceedures for every
vehicle.
Not from the factory in most cases, but the aftermarket.

No such thing as can't align, unless you need body shop
involvement or have damaged parts

What could cause a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder to have consistent problems with alignment?

Alignment won't fail unless you hit a curb

The vehicles worn parts have never been
diagnosed & replaced,that is obvious

You go to an alignment only shop that knows
how to properly repair things before ailgning

My cars steering is really loose. Everytime i drive it gets worse. Its a 2000 toyota camry. I took it in to a couple shops and nobody could find what was wrong with it, all said it looked fine just maybe...

You say the steering feels loose
You say it is getting worse

Two shops & nothing wrong !!

If it was mine, I would be careful using it, or not use at
all, until repaired

It is not possible what you say & nothing found
by a repair shop.
Those shops obviously don't care & may be incompetent,
based on the fact, you know the steering has issues

They knew & you now know that an alignment wouldn't solve
your issues

The alignment shop is questionable as well because an alignment
only shop not some place in a shopping mall, usually find worn
parts & replace before they would ever attempt the alignment

They also knew that flushing fluid won't solve the worn parts issue

So you got the run around like what I believe happen all too often

Did you really explain the problem & did you go for a ride at all those
places with you as a passenger & a mechanic driving,if not then my
opinion is that they never planned on diagnosing the problem with
the steering & you can testify to that

I can't from the internet tell you if you have a bad lower ball joint, loose steering rack bushings, bad tie rod ends, worn steering
rack or other possible items, but you see how these places operate
& you see the list of parts I suggest that could contribute.

You have my sympathy & I don't know how to help you find a
honest & capable shop, that is why I have always done my own
repairs & never have any problems diagnosing & solving things
once & done.

2004 pontiac grand am gt front wheels shakes when i go pass 70 mph.there,s a bumping noise under front end when you hit a slight bump in road.

I would check the front struts. They could be worn out (you didn't give mileage), or simply loose. I would recommend you either check them or have them checked as it could be minor or it could cause damage beyond the problem. One way to have them checked is to take it to someone that does front end alignments. No reputable shop would align a car with defective parts as the alignment wouldn't last. Sorry I couldn't help more, but a test drive would be required.

Light on dash came on which says "IP Brake" After 21/2 hrs. at the mechanics they couldn't figure it out except to say it has something to do with the ABS system

All your saying, is that the shop you went to, has no reference
material or data base, to even know what to check on your truck

If you have the factory manuals from Helm.com, you could possibly
figure it out

I won't guess, it is an obd1 system,pre 1996, so it can't be all
that hard

All you can do, is start to research for a shop in your area, that
that is good at everything. I would ask around for a couple weeks,
and then build a relationship for years to come.

I just bought a 03 Renault Megane 1.6 (Petrol) and after 2 weeks the car developed a rattling sound from the engine bay. I had my car checked and the mechanic suspects the waterpump needs replacing along...

He's just trying to upsell. The pump should have been replaced with the belt last month. I always recommend that if one goes the other should be replaced, for this very reason. Unless the water pump trashed the belt I wouldn't put the timing kit back in it. One month old... There is nothing wrong with them. But again the pump could have ate the belt, check it, if it is chewed up or missing teeth replace the belt only. And he's just giving you a line of ----, for the alignment part.

I have a 97 z71 and i cranked the torsion bars all the way up. i then took it in to get an alignment bu they told me they could do a proper alignment because the part that they adjust to alignt the tires...

I'd take the shops advice. Adjusting the bars all the way up alters the steering geometry. The camber adjustment is not unlimited so it's likely that the shop cannot make the adjustment to compensate for what you have done. You may be able to find a way to leave what you did by finding camber adjustment items that are designed to compensate for a sagged chassis, but I'm not positive that they make them for your vehicle. In the meantime, if you like your tires, listen to the shop.
I'd also try contacting the company that made the parts you installed. It's possible that you only bought part of the "kit" and that they also sell what you need to make it adjustable.

We took our 05 equinox to the shop for rear wheel bearing replacements, the owner of the shop called and said the center carrier bearing was really really bad and he could replace it. We said ok to the...

That work should ONLY be done by a
Drive Shaft Specialty Shop ,that repairs
& balances lots of things, not just driveshafts

I will agree with you, as I don't know

But a dealer will sell you the whole deal,
so I never recommend them for even a car wash

There may be,just saying, don't know, a very few that
can't be repaired.

I would pick it up & personally take it to a driveshaft
shop & not pay anything for that part of the work
agreed to.

I never had those issues when i had my trans shop,
because I followed my rules & I was a machinist
before, so there isn't much I can't do

Flywheel,Clutch &Driveshaft Balancing & tire
mounting I personally take out of shop & stand by
to see the work getting done.

Sturt and Mounts

As far as driving without having a front end alignment done AFTER the strut replacement, you should head to a shop and have a front end alignment done. You MAY notice some vibrating or tire wear if not taken care of.

Looking at your struts online, the boot comes with the struts. All you have to do is drop yours and replace with the new!
