SOURCE: 1965 mustang coil problem?

No, I doubt it very much. this is a very good car to learn the basics of cars and how they work. My first car was a 64 Merc comet, and I learned a lot. The first thing to remember on these old cars is , you can't break'em! and when they don't start always look at the points and condeser. The points will on occasion need to be either filed, or replaced as needed, and the gap reset. Also while your in there change the condenser, I never change the points without doing so. Another thing to remember, if you are going through a lot of sets of point you can either get a petronix kit that eliminates the points or put an in line resitor that wil cut down the voltage to the coil. Get yourself a good repair manual, and read! You can find a lot of info at your local library or parts stores have great manuals. You need as a minimum, a timming light, set of feeler gauges, and small set of tools if not already owned.

You need to have the factory security system scanned, it is most likely locking you out due to a fault.

Brake light and battery lights are on in a 2006 nissan quest

This just happened to us. While driving the Brake and Battery light went on. These signs do point to the alternator not charging. Eventually car wouldnt accelerate. What happened is that our alternator belt fell off. 5 hours after being towed belt was changed and we drove off... turn on the a/c and loud squeal! Turn off a/c and its gone. Back at the shop were told the a/c unit seized somewhere causing the alternator belt to snap while we were driving down the highway (Apparently they share a pulley or something.. still gotta look that up as soon as we get back home) Both lights went on because the alternator wasnt charging. Cant turn on a/c for the rest of the trip or were stranded for hours again. Check ur belts, pullies, a/c unit and test alternator.. hope this helps u guys

yes hydrailic and no will not affect engine. Engine problem is just more noticed when transmission not engaged.
Squealing is probably pilot bearing--not a big deal.
Tapping--maybe lifters pumping up
Engine light--get car scanned and report trouble codes back to us.
Autozone and Advance, among other parts stores, offer free scans.

My car wont start

You need a new engine. There has been quite a few cases of rod bearing failures on these engines. If the engine is left idling, the oil pressure drops as it gets hot and thin. If there was significant wear already inside the engine, that wear would accelerate rapidly with low oil pressure and the bearings would spin in their saddles.

Rubbing/squealing noise in front passenger side wheel well

Repeat the experiment and rotate wheels at same time. Might be just coincidence and it is actually a belt. My guess would be power steering.
