-My car has normal power, but when more load is put on the engine going up hill, it feels as if my engine is surging -The automatic transmission is not upshifting up hills (it will shift if you manually have to do it). -Transmission fluid not burnt and clean. -Hising noise coming from engine while driving and idling. -Recently (1 week ago) replaced a ignition coil/distrubutor ( these things are always breaking on sonatas supposebly (ive had to replace both (2 total)).

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the Ignition coil. I brought a new ignition coil and replaced it which is very simple to do as they lie just under the engine cover. Obviously you should disconnect the negative terminal on the battery first! Disconnect the coil leads either side and replace.. it's that simple! Now if the probelm continues ( there are two coils) replace the one you didn't change with the one you did. When I reconnected the battery negative terminal all of the error lights were out!! Result.

Can you message me what they decided this was. We had this same problem after church, today, though we have an automatic transmission
SOURCE: Power steering fluid leaking.
Year and mileage? Keep the fluid level up so you don't damage the power steering pump, and return to the garage that serviced it. This sounds like something wasn't tightened properly, and they should correct the problem. It is possible that a power steering hose or the pump itself developed a leak, but, it is most likely something that wasn't tightened properly. That's the best diagnosis that can be given w/out actually being able to see the vehicle.
