1992 Buick Park Avenue ignition switch

The '94 Buick Park Avenue has a power trunk release function. The trunk release actuator receives power from the trunk release relay which is supplied by Fuse 2 (15A) in the Relay Center. It's important to note that the trunk release switch in the glove box must be ON for the trunk release button to work. The vehicle must also be placed into the Park or Neutral positions for the release function to be enabled. If the fuse is OK, there could be an issue with one of the switches, wiring or the trunk latch actuator. you might try lubricating the trunk latch with a silicone spray or wd-40 and unlocking it with the key while it is open. There is a chance there is a small broken spring in the latch that is not pulling it over to full unlock position and when you tried to shut the trunk it is actually already in the locked position.

I replaced the trunk pull down actuator cost 65$ @ junk yard

One of the door pin switches is faulty, Interior light must be staying on and draining the battery. If you don't see the dome light staying on possibly the trunk switch is bad.

what is wrong with trunk? If it will not pull shut replace the pull down switch.

Any chance your vehicles have a security/alarm system. Disconnecting battery on some, will arm it sometimes & not allow it to run. Using key to unlock door, on driver & passenger side have been known to work on some vehicles, but if not, a call to dealer should help.

Try the switch inside the glove box

could be ign lock cylinder, it has 2 small wires of which one could have broken. also check your electricfal part of the ign switch at the base of the steering column
