If you want to defeat the system you need to make sure its the alarm system and not the ignition system, you are equipt with a pass lock system.Nothing in the alarm system change from the pellet type to the module of today,If you are trying to start the vehicle and the security light stays on.wait ten minutes with the key in the ON position,or until the security light goes off. Then turn the ignition to off before attempting to restart.

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Montana Thermostat replacement

check the coolant level fiirst...if that is low it wont give you any heat.....to change the thermostat you have to follow the top radiator hose to the engine.at the send of it you will see a clamp take it loose...then you will see the thermostat housing its held in place by 2 bolts . once you remove them you have the thermostat....make sure you clean all the old gasket material off both the housing and mount.also make sure you get a new gasket.

SOURCE: Changing the starter solenoid on a 2000 Pontiac Montana

On your van the solenoid is attached to the starter. If you can get a solenoid separate (i don't know if you can) then you will need to take the starter off and remove the solenoid (2 screws holding it on) and the wires (on red and one black i believe) pay attention to which wire goes where because you don't want to reverse it on the new solenoid.

SOURCE: 2002 pontiac montana passanger pwr window

I beleive you need to change the Power Window Switches Module in the drivers side door panel, as these connections are interlinked within this module and it is usually the first part that fails. Especially that you already changed the switches & motor in the passenger door and it still does not work. Once you remove the dual switch module in the driver's side door, you will understand what I mean. Plus it is really easy to access. Good luck! I have the same model, Claude

2002 pontiac montana wont start won't turn over

First thing I would check would be the battery. Open the hood and make sure the battery terminals are tightly connected to the battery (try to turn them on the post by hand). If they are tight and you have a volt-ohm-meter you can check the battery charge yourself. If not you can remove the battery and take it to an autoparts store and ask them to check it for you.

Turning the key to start...all lights turn on...but engine doesn't turn at all. What could it be? (2002 montana)

Your starter is bad you can replace starter which will cost about 200 bucks or you can throw on a starter switch which will be 50 bucks and Auto zone will be able to assist with either. I had replaced the starter on mine and it works brand new again. but in the mean time you can take a RUBBER handled flat head screw driver and touch it the positive and negative bolts on the starter which is what i did for a month or so

2006 Pontiac Montana wont start after replacing battery. Engine cranks as soon a key is moved from off, then continue to crank even after removing the key.

Sounds like your starter solenoid is stuck in the on position if you can get down there and have some one hook the battery on, hit the starter with a hammer some time this will disengage the starter.

On my 2002 montana wont start up but the battery is good i still have power and the starter is makeing the clicking nnose when i try to start it but the motor wont turn over

Try and spin the motor over by hand. I think the bolt for the harmonic balance is a 18mm headed bolt. It will be tight but you can reach it from the top, or you can take off the passenger front wheel and remove the splash guard. If the engine will spin over by hand then thats a good thing. Next step would be to remove the starter and take it to your local part store and have it tested. If it passes then report back so we can assist you with further help.
You can also give the starter a little love tap with a soft faced hammer and see if it starts working. That will NOT fix the problem it will just get you home!

Replaced starter because of clicking sound which made me think it was the solenoid. Battery tested okay. Now it clicks some but eventually starts. Is it the starter relay and were is it located. The...

Check that battery connections are clean and check engine ground. Also find what's clicking and make sure it's well connected and working (likely the relay you are looking for.)
