SOURCE: How do I boost the air conditioning system on my 2001 Olds Aurora

On the caps that screw on the two AC ports you will see a Letter L or H.You need to add to the L(low) side and if you have no caps the hose connector on the can of freon will only fit the low side. Also, most of the time the low fittting is smaller than the high fitting is. When adding have your car running with the AC on and on the max setting.Hope this helps.John.

SOURCE: removing the alternator from a 1995 oldsmobile aurora

i found it best to remove radiator first before trying to tackle the alternator... once that is removed then you can easily get to it to unloosen bolt and swap

SOURCE: My gauges(temp, speedometer, tachometer, fuel, etc.) do not work

I believe that this is caused by a blown Relay or Fuse. I also just went through this. I took my Relays into NAPA and replaced them all, refered back to the diagram and installed the new ones, I also, (unsure if it'll make a difference) turned every fuse to face upright and in the same direction after removing to clean the contact point with a soft tipped metel brush. Overall, replace the Relays and you should be fine.

SOURCE: cigarette lighter wont work no more on my 2001 aurora

1st check all fuses. 2nd why do you need to charge all the time? If your battery keeps going low and you have to charge it all the time , perhaps you need a new battery. If the charger has to give the battery a large charge then it may have caused the fuse to fail on that circut. . Is this device for a cell phone? If it is then you probably blew a fuse. Let me know if you are charging the car battery or charging a cell phone battery.

1997 Aurora heater fan won't work

So it's the blower motor, the motor resistor or the control unit. Typically the motor resistors fail, but the motors also fail. Try all of the speeds to be sure none of them work. Usually running on HIGH is the best test, because it has the greatest likelihood of turning the motor.

The ring in my 97 olds aurora went & now I need a fuel pump & gas tank but cant find a Gas Tank anywhere & I live in N.H,should I keep looking or junk it???

I did a part search for you on Car-part.com. There are at least 3 interchanges including the Buick Park Ave, Oldsmobile Aurora, and the Buick Riviera. There are around 250 available throughout the United States. Just go to Car-part.com and fill in the search fields to locate one near you. I hope I've helped. If so please rate my assistance and leave a comment to help others in a similar situation. Happy Holidays.

My 97 Aurora is stalling whenever I am at a stoplight or stopped somewhere just idling. Runs fine if the car is moving..what could the problem be?

Put an ODB-II meter on it and look at fuel trims, air flow, and O2 sensors. Also follow any codes it might have. I would guess maybe intake plenum gasket as these crack often on the 4.0L.

Is a 99 buick park avenue fuel pump compitable with a 1997 oldsmobile aurora? there both a gm product

According to my parts guide, the fuel pump for your 97 Olds Aurora fits only that and the 97 Buick Riviera's and nothing else. The pump for a 99 Park avenue comes up as a different part number. Hope this helps!

I am haveing problems with my 2001 aurora oldsmobile the dash is not working. (gauges)

Check dash fuses and relays. You can find fuse box diagrams in your owners manual. Maybe disconected, loose, or damaged connections. Id take it to the dealer and have the dash looked at.

97 aurora AC not working

GM products have a safety feature which shuts down compressors is they run too low on refrigerant. Honestly surprised you were able to fill the system with refrigerant since the compressor would have shut off. The best way to reset the compressor is to disconnect the negative battery cable for 15 min. After reconnecting, the compressor should function again assuming there's enough R-134A in it. If there's not, turn the AC to MAX and add the refrigerant. At this point, the system should actually **** the can dry. Hope this helps with your AC problem. All the best!
