I'm looking for a 1983 ford mustang ignition wiring diagram(for free if possible) as I've taken out an old alarm that keeps tripping out the car and want to know how everything should fit back together again.Thanks.

Check out faxonautoliterature. They carry dealer service manuals which would include a complete wiring diagram. I've used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.
Get on google and type in 2001 ford mustang spark plug diagram. Something should pop up that might work for you. Usually if your changing the plugs just look for the wires that run on either side of the engine above the exhaust headers and just pull one off at a time and use a deep socket to remove them but you can go to any auto parts store and have them look up the pre gaped plugs so all you have to do is remove the old and put the new in. Very easy to do.
Its the electric ignition module. its a box on the driver side under the hood, by the tire on the finder well. it will have three plug-ins on it. It will need to be replaced it shouldl cost 25 to 35 $ because it will just get worse and worse.and when you need it the most it will go out GOOD LUCK!
Yes, figure out if your not getting fuel pressure of spark. You may have a Igniton mode out if no spark. you may have a fuel pump out or the fuse or relay died.. Or you may have a ECM fuse that blew. You could have a wire somewhere for any of these systems broken.

Ballast resistors are special; they have what is known as a 'positive temperature coefficient' meaning that they increase in resistance with temperature.
This provides a very hot spark to start, then a reduction in current as the resistor warms up.
This prevented points and coils from frying from unnecessarily high current.
Early electronic ignition systems still used them, I don't think any modern car has them now.
If you have a larger public library, it might be worth a look on line (if available) or a visit to search for a manual; have found some classics there.
