Definition of Diagnostic Trouble Code P0722
Category:
Powertrain
Definition:
Output Speed Sensor Circuit No SignalNote: This definition of P0722 is applied to all manufacturers
Most likely you have a defective ABS sensor which is part off the front bearing assembly. you will need have or if you have a code reader capable of reading abs codes find the wheel that is causing the code. Then source the part and if you have the ability to replace it replace it. The code/ light should go out when the abs signal is getting correct information.
I replaced my right rear wheel hub assembly and the lights went off do check your right rear ABS sensor and reset your light or drive it and the lights will return to normal
Not all OBD-2 scanners are created equal. Most only read power-train (engine/transmission) codes and are not capable of reading ABS codes. Some scanners even have a specific button you have to press to get ABS codes. Try a different scanner. I know places like Auto Zone will scan codes for free but not every store has the same reader. The AZ nearest to me has the ABS capable scanner while the one on the other side of town can't read ABS codes.
The code scanner that you need is called ODBII code reader with ABS, and it works in the same way as the one that you connect to the car computer module (ECU) to read codes when the check engine light comes on, but the cheap ones that you can buy from $50 do not have the ABS brake scan function.
If the problem is the ABS, then it is often a wiring to abs problem, or a defective ABS control module, a scan reading is necessary to know what the problem is.
It may be an ABS sensor... however you'll want to get those ABS codes read. A regular code reader doesn't do that, you'll need a specific ABS code reader or take it to a shop.
