Plastic heater core hose connector broke. How do you replace it?

The nipple that the heater core hose (at the firewall) slips on, broke off flush. The plastic connector just spins around and won't pull off. How does it come off?

SOURCE: replace plastic fitting

You will need a special tool to get in and behind the fitting which will release the fitting from the tube.I would go to your auto parts store and see if they have the correct tool for your job.

SOURCE: nipple on fitting on heater core tube broke off.

There is no replacing of the inlet outlets on a heater core. You will have to replace the heater core.

How do i replace radiator hose connector into firewall for 2004 yukon

If you're talking about where the heater hose connects to the heater core and the metal is corroded away then you'll need to replace the heater core. You don't need any special tools, but it's a time consuming job.

Remove the firewall rubber grommet to the broken pipe in the firewall. Clean the remaining end of the broken pipe real good, apply a drop of oil on it, then push the heater hose back in and tighten the hose clamp back on. You will need a 12 point box end wrench and it will be slow due to limited access. It should work.

How do I flush the heater core in a 1991 dodge grand caravan

first it is a waste of time, buy a new core and install it. if you like tilting at windmills, remove the heater hoses from the nipples protruding through the firewall, ,hold the end of a garden hose over one open nipple and have someone turn on the hose. move the hose back and forth from one nipple to the other a few times. the grime you are trying to remove has melded itself to the core and for the most part will not be coming out. costs nothing though so does not hurt to try. you will have antifreeeze dripping all over when you take the hoses off so have something to collect it.

Heater hose broke off at firewall.there is a plastic connector which I can't get off. it spins but does'nt back out.how do you remove this connector?

There is a removal tool to release plastic locking tabs at back near fire wall, I had the same problem with my 01 silverado I used a 4" piece of hacksaw blade held with vice grips and cut aluminum cover and pried it apart to release, be careful not to cut heater core tube.

Male fitting on heater core inlet broke off in hose

RKmastertech is incorrect. That plastic fitting is seperate from the aluminum heater core and can be removed by means of a special quick disconnect tool, like OTC 6046. Rock auto has the fitting for $5 plus shipping, just for a reference.

Heater core inlet pipe plastic broke

if the heater core inlet pipe broke you may need to replace the unit depending on how far it broke ...to help get the hose off a bent awl or sometimes a small screwdriver and run it around the inside of the hose to help loosen it it otherwise if your replacing the hose as well a razor knife you can cut a **** in it to open it up as well

I want to flush the heater core

Take off the hoses at the bulkhead/firewall that go to te heater core, use a garden hose and back flush the core by forcing water through the smaller of the 2 hose nipples, if the water runs right through then you have a heater air temp control door actuator problem

Broke plastic nipple on heater core 1996 dodge neon

You will have to replace the heater core, Only one thing other than that, if there is enough of the nipple sticking out you may be able to clamp the hose onto the stub.
