I bought a 2003 tiburon and only after realized that the radio didn't work. but i didn't bother fixing it because i was already planning to put in an after market one and when i did it worked perfectly fine but after the car is off for 10 seconds. it goes back to factory settings and i have to play with the setting every time i turn the car on. i checked the power cable and it doesn't get a constant 12V and i cant figure out why. same thing with the dome light. the sunroof buttons work but the lights don't. i've looked online and found many other people who have similar problems. but the ones that match my situation don't have any responses :/
Did you use a aftermarket wire harness made for your vehicle? If you did then there is a wire marked 12v constant that wire will be yellow that is what you are missing hopefully you did not cut the factory plug off of the vehicle. the aftermarket harness plugs into the factory harness
i did use the aftermarket harness. and that yellow wire from the car only gets 2.5V. i had originally wired the radio to how it should be and it did not work at all. so i had to tie together the yellow and red wires from the radio to the red one coming from the car because it had the 12V. though only when the car is on. i know that's why it resets but if i don't do that then it won't work period.
the problem is that i don't know why the constant 12V is 2.5V right now

then you need to take the car to a good electrical tech and have the wire that matches the yellow wire traced down and checked it is suppose to have +12v all the time so there is a high resistance some place for now i would run a wire from the battery to the yellow wire and your problem will be solved but that 2.5 volts on the constant wire can cause many other problems in your vehicle
