Location of oil drain plug on 2003 montero sport

You will have to get under the vehicle and find the oil pan directly under the engine. On the oil pan you will locate the bolt to drain the oil pan. They usually are at the lowest point on the oil pan so that all the oil is drained from the pan when removed.

T came on and the engine stalled out. There was some bottom end noises and i had it towed home 300 miles. I took of oil pan and the oil suction screen was 90% clogged. At the time it overheated there was...

Oh my gawd, lol. Clean the screen and probably replace head gasket. Have head checked for flatness when removed because these Mitsubishi engines love to warp the heads when baked. Might as well pull the engine and work on it that way. Just go through and look for problems.

90% clogged? with what? I would think the filter would of caught the crap instead of the screen. Did you have the car at a mechanic lately, where they possibly could of done something to provoke that clog? . I have never heard one of them screens clogged up like that, EVER!
