Im assuming its an 2001 but ur question says 2012... the cooling fan prolly isnt coming on and if it is...then ur thermostat is stuck closed. does the gauge read hot or do u just notice the engine overheat?

Was the flywheel surfaced or replaced? if surfaced , it may have not been surfaced flat. some are two step and have to be within tolerances. If you took this to a garage, take it back. They misdiagnosed it. Tell them to make it right. You already paid.
The module is in the wiper motor. Replace it. Look at the plug ends first, you might be able to clean them up and get extra life from the motor. Look for white to green colors. Battery terminal cleaner works good on these.
