The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. you will need to remove the tank, then loosen the lock ring on top of tank by turning it counter-clock-wise and pulling the entire assembly out of the tank. Replace the pump assembly and re-assemble in reverse order. If you have trouble turning the locking ring you can tap it on and off with a hammer and screwdriver.
