open the hood there is a round black or gray cover that twist quarter turn.then the bulb is held on with a wire clamp that is a tick to un snap .you may need to look at a picture to understand.

SOURCE: one brake works and one does not. both tail lights

I have a '03 Sonata. One of the brake lights went out when it was new. I had the dealership fix it since it was still under warranty. Since then, I have replace it 4 or 5 times. First other problem was the cruise did not work when my lights were on. Next, the dash light started coming on when I hit the brakes. Then, the parking lights would come on when I hit the brakes. After that, the cd player started turning on and off by itself. All of this has been going on for 3-4 years. I had searched the web, and everybody said they had problems but the dealerships could not resolve them. I didn't have the money to try to get it fixed. It would not pass inspection last week because the brake light was dim. The mechanic said the wrong light was in there (remember, first replaced by dealership, then I bought lights from auto parts store that specified my make and model). He grabbed up what he knew was the right bulb, and THAT FIXED ALL MY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS! I hope this info will help some other folks.

SOURCE: We have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata and both headlights

with or without DRL (day time running lamps)

if without...
since both headlamps have their own fuse I would start by testing the headlamp (low) relay

if however, the high beams do not work either, then you may have a more serious wiring concern

let me know if you need any further assistance

High beam headlights stuck on replaced switch same problem

It can be issue with headlight switch, but as its already been replaced.Try disconnecting high beam headlight wiring from headlight assembly and reconnect direct external wire from headlight switch to headlight assembly, then by switch see if headlight is getting off and turning on or not.

My high beams will go on but not the low beams. How do i fix?

if the indicator light on your dash appears to be working, you probably just need new bulbs. No, they didn't both burn out at once. You probably drove a while with one headlight and didn't know it. If the indicator light doesn't come on and off, you will need a new dimmer switch, but since they work on bright, I am assuming that works.
