Hyundai 2003 Car Stereo/no sound aftermarket radio

I am installing an aftermarket stereo in a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. Everything appears to be hooked up right. But when the stereo comes on, there is no sound. I have read that it may have something to do with the factory amplifier. But I'm not sure what to do. The stereo works when I hook it up to another speaker.

SOURCE: 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT radio

I had problems with my tiburon gt when I first bought it. Radio would turn on randomly. I looked around though and found rings right above the shifter where he would set his coffee in the morning because his cups wouldn't fit. I bet they would spill now and then and ruined the radio. Simply replacing it should not cause a problem but if you have the radio out get a flashlight and take a look at the wires in the back. I had a friend whos radio would not turn off even with the key out. There was a vacuum line behind his player and it rubbed on some wires in the back and caused him to have a short. Also if you have the factory sub in the back you should still have use of it with a new head unit.

My 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe is missing the harness to hook my aftermarket stereo into, just wires to connect need a color code or something, no color code I’ve seen so far matches , only wire that lights up my...

Suggest obtain the shop manual for your model and turn to the wiring diagram pages.
If you still have problems, find a 12 volt circuit and use that to splice in your aftermarket stereo. Be sure the circuit is through your ignition/accessories switch. Also be sure to use an in-line fuse to prevent shorting issues.
In worst case scenario you can inspect the back of your speakers and find the color of the wires and use that info to connect your aftermarket stereo. Be sure that the impedance of your speakers matches the wattage and impedance of your aftermarket stereo. A good volt/ohm meter is handy for this task. Good luck.

How to connect a Hyundai car radio to my Toyota ute

This is most likely impossible if either is a late model vehicle. As far as wiring you will need to cut the factory Radio harness out of the Hyundai, you will also need a wire diagram for the Hyundai. You will need to buy a harness designed to install an aftermarket head unit into the Toyota, the new harness will come with a description of which wires perform what function. You will then need to match these to the wires on the harness cut from the Hyundai using the diagram. Even if you do all this other hyundai radio will not bolt in where the factory Toyota radio was, and there is no adapter made for something like this. I would suggest just buying an aftermarket stereo. It will be MUCH easier and will almost definitely sound better than a stock Hyundai unit.

I have a 2003 tiburon and when you are going down the road it will just shut off and you have to stop and restart it can you help me.

I had this problem with my 2003 Tiburon SE. Dealer couldn't diagnose the problem - they said everything was working fine. By trial and error I discovered that when I disconnected my aftermarket CD player, the car was fine. Re-connect the CD player and the problem would occur intermittently.

I think the problem was that the CD player was drawing too much current from the car's electrical system, thus through the Body Control Module, or BCM. The BCM would overheat and shutdown, turning the engine off with it. Shutting off the ignition and re-starting the car would reset the BCM and all would be fine for a while.

Disconnect any aftermarket electronics you may be using (stereo, cell phone charger, etc...) and see if that helps.

Good luck.
