1996 jeep cherokee stalls, I've replaced the throttle position sensor, MAP sensor, and carbeurotor. What else could it be?

I've replaced all the spark plugs and wires, carbueretor, Throttle position sensor, and just last week the MAP sensor it ran fine for the week. But now it's stalling again, what else could it be? I've had it diagnosed by car repair shops and autozone.

You replace sparkplugs, plug wire, tps, map, cap and rotor.Thats good,If the vehicle runs and you come to a stop and it stalls,That is the IAC (Idle air control) you say it ran fine for a week now its acting up, Service the IAC or get it replaced.

SOURCE: stalls and backfires 1997 jeep

you need to check the fuel pressure, and did you mean you replaced the distributor or just the rotor because inside the distributor is a pickup plate that some times causes this also 02 sensor can cause this.is your check engine light on if so go to chain auto parts store they usually read your codes for free.

How do i set the timing on a 2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo 6 cyl?

Your timing is locked. (distributor is installed with no adjustment feature... on 02's you may not even have a distributor as it's replaced by the cam sensor) All timing and fuel mixture is controlled by the engine computer. Main inputs to the computer that influence changes are the throttle position sensor and MAP sensor but all sensor inputs are evaluated.

on the drivers side if you look straight down in between the intake and the firewall you will see it bolted to the transmission. The harness plug in is in that same area as well.

My 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee cuts off while driving

Sounds a whole lot like a dirty or malfuncitionig idle air control valve. A coil would generally show up as a miss under load or high rpm, crank sensors generally work or they dont, only sometimes giving you a miss, but that would be all the time at any rpm. Computer, I doubt for too many reasons to list. Could also be related to a bad throttle position sensor or a very slight vacuum leak.

98 jeep grand cherokee limited 4.0 litre. starts up, during warm up process engine will idle irradically and stall out. starts back up and does the same thing. no check engine light on. cleanrd throttle...

Does this thing have a throttle body that looks like a computer-controlled carburetor?

If so, start motor and verify that it behaves irratically and then stalls.

then, spray WD-40 liberally around base of throttle body where tb meets intake manifold.

Start motor...

Does the problem go away, at least whilst for a little while?

Yes?

You gotta vacuum leak. Replace gasket under TB and tighten bolts to factory spec.
