If i am standing in front of a 2002 ford edpedition 4.6L is the firing order left to right

Now you need to know which cylinder is which. If you stand at the front of the truck looking at the engine, the number 1 cylinder is on the left closest to you. The left bank has cylinders 1-3-5 and the right bank has 2-4-6. So number 1 is at the left front and number 6 is at the right rear.

The firing order for this vehicle is 1-6-5-4-3-2. When you are standing at the front of the car looking under the hood, the plug in the left corner of the engine is firing in cylinder 1, as you move to the right you see cylinder 3 and 5. On the other side engine (the side facing the firewall) going left to right is 2 4 and 6. Remember, this is what you see standing in front of the car, not the engine. If you want to stand in front of the engine you will have to be standing at the passenger side fender!
