SOURCE: need a temperature sensor

If you are in an area that has a chrysler dealership, contact their parts dept. Explain what you are looking for and ask for a part # and price. Get the part from them or another more econimical solution is to use the part # they give you and contact a local pull-a-part automotive yard or salvage yard. Give them your information you received from the dealership and check their price. Prices are more economical from salvage yards. Most salvage yards have a database of parts on hand. hope this helps

2012 nissan sentra outside temperature display not working correctly. Displaying 10 degrees colder than actual outside temp.

The outside temp sensor is located behind your front grille. Try to look for a 2-wire small sensor. You will need to remove the grille to gain smooth access and to test it. Use multimeter to measure sensor resistance when disconnected. Depending on actual air temperatures, sensor should measure 1.27 kilohms when at 104degF, and 16.5kilohms when at -4degF. The rest of the normal values should be in between these kilohms and temperature ranges.

Where's the transmission speed output sensor located on 2007 Pacifica 4.0 6cyl fwd

It is located on the outside of the transmission case, I assume you mean the vehicle speed sensor and no the turbine shaft speed sensor. If the speed sensor is defective you will have a check engine light on in the dash display. If that is no the case then you may have a failed speedometer.

2007 Pacifica overheated. Outside Temp only 80. Doesnt appear that front fans are working and coolant level in resevior get higher.

Turn on the AC--it should start the radiator fans immediately. If nothing, check the fuse for the fans. The relay for the fans is a solid state device that is controlled directly by engine computer. The computer reads the coolant temperature sensor which tells the computer when to turn on the fans for usual cooling. Try to turn each fan manually (engine cool) and check for bad bearings, or fan blades--both fans should spin freely without any noise. If the fans come on with AC, then replace the temperature sensor which should be located near the attachment area of the upper radiator hose on the engine. It will have a single wire attached, and look like a small brass plug with threads. Watch the engine temperature for a while after the repair as the overheating may have damaged the thermostat element. Hope this helps!
