SOURCE: 2001 Honda Civic door lock

If there is nothing jammed in the barrel, you will need to pull apart the lining of the interior of the door, disconnect the power motor for that switch, then see if it locks by key, sounds like the motor is seized, of out of allignment, easily fixed with a second hand or reco motor, or witha simple adjustment. Good luck, hope it helps.

SOURCE: 2001 Honda Civic Timing Belt

It is not an eays job. I would have it done by a tecknician so you have a warranty. The honda dealer is your best bet because you will oem parts and the job will be done right . then you are good for another 90,000 miles. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer.

Cpk sensor ( crank position sensor)

could be cam or crank but more like crank sensor with no start. cam sensor fail engine can start and run in limp mode but crank it will not. but you should still have engine management light on. also there will be codes stored on ecu you can read to find a fault.

2001 honda civic wont turn over, battery-starter-good, timing belt good, engine will turn by hand but when attempting to start it just clicks. Im leaning towards the ckp sensor

The crank sensor only comes into play while the engine is cranking or running to tell the computer where TDC is.
A no crank issue would be only the starting or security system.
Do you have battery power at the starter when the key is in the start position ? Are the battery cables clean and tight on both ends ?

I have a 2001 Honda Civic that did not pass emissions test. My

A. DTC P1705: Short in Transmission Range Switch (TRS) Circuit. The TRS lights the A/T gear position indicator in the instrument panel shows which gear has been selected.

The PCM also uses this information in order to manage the fuel system for maximum efficiency. The most obvious symptom you will see is the A/T gear position indicator lights will not come on or come on in the wrong position.

Once this is repaired emissions should pass

How to turn off the 'service engine' light, as in oil changes, etc. 2001 Honda Civic.

On my 99 Accord I start with the engine off. Hold down the Select/Reset button near the gauges and turn the ignition switch to the on position (not starting the car). Hold the button until the light goes off.
Hope this works for you.
