SOURCE: oil presure light comes on

After making sure that you used the propper oil filter and the correct grade of oil. inspect the Oil presure switch. if you see it wet with oil, replace it. given that you hear no internal engine noises, while you come to a stop and the light comes on. Then more that likely you have the wrong filter. please doubble check your oil level, 2.. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Now it want stop saying

the level sensor is located in the surge tank and is usually the reason for this message-it gets gummed up over the years and does not have the proper resistance readings, causing the display center to give that message. You can try removing the surge tank and clean it out (sensor is molded into the tank and has to be replaced as a unit). You can bypass it by cutting the connector at the sensor, and wiring in a 1800 ohm resistor, but then you will not actually know if your tank is low without visual observation. I have gotten used surge tanks in area junkyards to fix this problem, much cheaper than the factory OEM units (over $150). According to the field service manual, if the sensor is not the cause, the display center itself is defective, and is very expensive to replace-so try cleaning out the tank first, then look for a used tank-if that fails, the resistor is only 20 cents at a local Radio Shack.

Why does my 2001 Chevy Silverado Low Coolant light keep coming on? I don't see any leaks or anti freeze in the oil. It doesn't over heat ever and there is plenty of heat in the cab during the winter

Sensor in the fill tank is probably bad .
LOW COOLANT
The IPC illuminates the LOW COOLANT indicator in the message center when the IPC detects a low coolant level condition from the PCM. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the coolant level.
Coolant Level Control (If Equipped)
The engine cooling system contains an engine coolant level switch to alert the driver in the event of a coolant loss. The powertrain control module (PCM) sends out a coolant loss signal over the coolant level switch signal circuit. When the engine coolant level switch reads a low coolant level in the fill tank, the switch opens. The message center receives its power from engine wiring harness junction block on the battery positive voltage circuit. Ground is provided by the ground circuits via the body wiring harness junction block and the engine wiring harness junction block. The cluster receives the class 2 message from the PCM indicating Low Coolant and displays the LOW COOLANT LEVEL message on the driver information center (DIC).

Is the fill tank full ?

98 Oldsmobile Aurora There's a on my Dash it says information center and has the oil fuel speed all that it says low oil is there any way anybody knows how to reset that

Check your engine oil using the oil dipstick located on the engine - you need to add oil to the fill line as shown on the dipstick. You should have the oil replaced regularly (every 3-6 months) and keep your eye on the level if the engine is leaking oil underneath or burning a lot of it.

Oil pressure light beeps on and off before and after new oil pump

Have you replaced the sending unit for the oil light yet, do that now and that will likely fix the problem. The sender will be near the oil filter most likely.

I have a 2001 Cadillac deville. The car shuts off sometimes when I am stopped for a short while. My digital dash says to change my oil, check coolant, and now my wipers stopped working. I changed the oil,but...

The crank sensor can cause the stalling out but as far as the oil change message and the wiper and the low coolant these are not related, the oil change message has to be reset look in the owners book for steps to reset it, the low coolant light is common, this is low coolant or the sensor is dirty or bad and the wipers, you will need to test for power at the motor if theres power at the motor then the motor just went bad but has nothing to do with the stalling out.

Just bought a 1999 ford taurus. Service ensgine soon light comes on. A message says low coolant. Diagnostic code that it throws is P1744. Will adding coolant to it clear this code or are they unrealted?

HI, sorry to tell you this but the DTC P1744 is being set do to excessive slipping in the transmission so coolant wont help this. The low coolant is probably due to a crack int he expansion tank where you add coolant. I would recommend stopping at a local transmission shop and let them tell you your options. Good luck

I need sensors (master reset)

Open the DIS [Driver Information System] with the car running. The screen should flash all the annoying messages. Press the "Fuel" button repeatedly until the messages clear and it displays your fuel used. The press the Eng button until it shows your Oil Life, then hold down the reset button for 10 seconds. Then press Eng again till it shows your Transmission Fluid Life, and hold down the reset button for 10 seconds. As for the coolant indicator, make sure the reservoir is filled to the appropriate level. If you still get the Low Coolant message, check to make sure the coolant level sensor is plugged in (its on the reservoir) and if it is, then it may need replaced or cleaned.

Oil presure sending unit

Cadillac 1994 DeVille

Check, if the oil level is low, top off.
If the oil level was ok then you can replace the oil sending unit.

2000 vw passat 1.8t wont start

First make sure you do a basic tune-up on the car i.e. replacing spark plug wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor button, etc. Secondly, the plugs are probably just wet from fuel from not starting. The low oil pressure light coming on is normal when trying to start the car. Make sure to check for codes too and don't press the accelerator when starting the car, otherwise it will flood the engine.
